Initial thoughts after testing the new VR commercial-grade headset: DPVR's E4

The DPVR E4 is a high-resolution PC-VR headset designed for professionals seeking a premium virtual reality experience. Featuring dual 4K (3840 x 2160) displays per eye, the E4 offers crisp and clear visuals with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 116-degree field of view.

This 4k per eye resolution, makes the DPVR one of the best visual displays on the market.

The device employs 6DoF inside-out tracking with four integrated cameras, allowing for precise movement tracking without the need for external sensors.

The headset is designed with user comfort in mind, weighing approximately 400 grams (very light) and equipped with an adjustable head strap and adjustable flip visor.

The DPVR E4 runs on its proprietary DPVR ecosystem but is also compatible with SteamVR and other PC VR platforms, offering a versatile range of VR experiences.

With a price point around $599, the DPVR E4 is positioned as an affordable yet powerful option in the high-resolution standalone VR headset market.
