What a week we had at the VRARA Global Summit Online! Lots of prep work went into the two panels that we hosted. It's good to see that both panels were a success and that we can all take a collective breathe this weekend (especially with the smoke gone).
In case you missed our panels, we got you covered here! The VRARA summit stretched from September 30th through October 2nd. In case you didn't know, the VR/AR Global Summit Online is a conference connecting the best virtual reality and augmented reality solution providers with enterprise and media entertainment companies. You can check out the full schedule and list of speakers here! MXTreality was featured on two of these panels!
PANEL 1: INTERVIEWS WITH THE MINDS BEHIND READY PLAYER ONE TECH
The first panel had a star-studded cast to discuss a film that made stars! Here's the premise: Alvin Wang Graylin (President at HTC), Ben Freeman (COO at Infinadeck), and Teslasuit all have one thing in common: their tech has shaped Ready Player One! With Jeff Rayner as our guide, we'll dive into how Ready Player One's tech is coming sooner than you'd think! So soon it might even be, right now!
The panel had Alvin Wang Graylin discussing the influence of HTC on the production of the film as well as Alvin's comparisons of the film's hardware to HTC products. Ben Freeman showed us how early generation Omni-directional treadmills were used in the film and let us know where Infinadeck can take us next. And our own Jeff Rayner touted the Teslasuit, comparing it to the haptic feedback featured in Ready Player One! Hear more about the tech that shaped the film and the film that has shaped the tech in our panel with the full VOD below:
PANEL 2: MEDICAL THINK TANK: THE GOOD, THE BAD, THE REALITY OF VR REHAB
Our second panel asked big questions that MXTreality is at the forefront of answering. Questions like: How is VR being used for medical rehabilitation? Is it effective? What can make it more effective?
Our panel of medical professionals cracked open the lid on VR use cases for rehabilitation by discussing how they use experiences, where the roadblocks are, and where the future of VR in the medical world lies. Check out our list of speakers below!
