American author Ernest Cline's first book Ready Player One was a huge success, both in literary form, and also from it's futuristic adventure movie directed by Stephen Spielberg. The story is set in 2045, and while the planet is on the brink of collapse, powerful corporations run amok, and the only escape is the Oasis, a VR universe played by everyone, everywhere.
For the VRARA global summit, I called upon my VR friends, who I knew had personal knowledge of the tech used in the movie, and as it turns out, they also helped in many more ways than I had realized.

During my interviews, I talk to them about their involvement, and we discuss the vision of RP1, while comparing what we have today, with what was proposed in 2045. It's interesting to note that Cline published the book in 2011, way before the first Vive or Oculus hit the markets, let alone the other tech his characters utilize. As a result, it's fair to say that some of the tech is already outdated, indeed, as COO of Infinadeck Ben Freeman states:
"The omnidirectional treadmill they used in the movie is already 4 generations better"
And that's just the start of it. Come join, listen, watch, and be entertained and educated by these true visionaries.
The panel flow will follow this structure:
Intro and overview
Omni-directional treadmill (with Ben Freeman)
VR headset and its use not only in the movie, yet also with it's creation (with Alvin Graylin)
Full body haptic suit and gloves (information provided by Dimitri Mikhalchuk of Teslasuit)
Oasis - general conversation
